The progeny of Captain Crunch was sought after by buyers at the NZB Auckland Yearling Sale at Karaka yesterday afternoon.

The young stallion achieved a 100% clearance rate with his yearlings selling for an average of $60,000 and a top price of $100,000 for a half-brother to the unbeaten champion filly Millwood Nike.

The stunning colt, out of the Bettorʻs Delight mare Albuquerque, was consigned by Alabar NZ and purchased by Peter Lagan Standardbreds.

A half-brother to last seasonʻs stakes performed juvenile Always B You, from the draft of Highfields Bloodstock, also made good money selling for $70,000.

Captain Crunch finished the sale as the third leading sire overall by average, behind only his own sire Captaintreacherous and Bettorʻs Delight.
