Tricky Miki takes out Golden Nugget

The Justin Prentice trained Tricky Miki was a dominant winner of the Group 1 4YO Golden Nugget at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

The brilliant son of Always B Miki went to front early in the 2,536m feature and never gave his rivals a look in, sprinting clear in the home straight to score by 11.5m.

One of the leading pacers of his age group in Western Australia, Tricky Miki has won four Group 1ʻs to date - the Golden Slipper at 2, the WA Derby and Westbred Classic at 3 and now the Golden Nugget at 4.

It was his 11^th career win overall and took his earnings to $482,721.
