Our experienced staff are experts at weaning, weaning more than 100 foals between the ages of 4 and 6 months old each season in as stress-free way as possible. Foals are taught to tie and eat hard feed whilst still on their dams before being boxed, taught to lead and to pick up their feet during the actual weaning process. All weanlings are wormed and have their feet trimmed at weaning time. Typically it will take one week to produce a well educated, calm, sensible and respectful weanling ready to go home to your place or to further continue its education. All weanlings will also be inspected by our on-site/preferred vet at weaning time.
