The Brian Brown trained Proof was an eye-catching winner of his Breeders Crown  Elimination for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono on October 19, producing another powerful finish to win going away from a smart field of juveniles.

Competing in what was arguably the strongest of the three eliminations, with the field including last start International Stallion Stakes winner Captain Crunch and the Metro Pace place-getters Semi Tough and Shake That House, Proof bided his time at the back of the field for much of the race before unleashing his trademark devastating sprint on the home turn, with the son of A Rocknroll Dance easily reeling in his rivals and going on to score by two and a half lengths.

The Diamond Creek Farm homebred has now won six of his 10 starts this season and with earnings of US$298,435 he is the second highest earning 2-year-old male pacer in North America this year.

The Pennsylvania Sire Stakes champion is out of the $1.9 million earning Real Artist mare Ginger And Fred.

Another son of A Rocknroll Dance to impress in the Breeders Crown eliminations was the 3-year-old colt Grand Teton, with the last start Tattersalls Pace winner also booking his spot in the Finals next weekend after finishing second in his elimination and beating home the likes of the North American Cup winner Lather Up and this year's Messenger and Cane Pace victor Stay Hungry.
