Six Pack rounds out racing career with TVG win

Muscle Mass’s richest son Six Pack bowed out in style yesterday, defeating the champion mare Manchego in track record time in the $350,000 TVG Open Trot Final at The Meadowlands.

In his final race-day start, the multiple world champion square-gaiter sat in third spot through a torrid 53.8 first half before angling out in the straight, balancing up and storming home to nab Manchego and win by three-quarters of a length.

The winning time of 1:50 was a track record for a 4-year-old trotting entire and is his second, with the stallion also holding the 3-year-old colt Meadowlands mark.

Six Pack retires to stud as the fastest 3-year-old trotter in history with a record of 19 wins and $1,973,661 in stakes-money.
