Six Pack named Dan Patch 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year
The world champion Muscle Mass colt Six Pack was a well deserved winner of the 2018 Dan Patch US 3YO Trotting Colt of the Year title when the Awards were announced earlier today.
In a huge season, Six Pack became the fastest 3-year-old trotter of all time with a 1:49.2 victory in the Kentucky Futurity, won 11 of his 15 starts in 2018, placing in a further three, and was the richest overall trotter in North America this year with earnings of over $1.15 million.
His major wins included, as mentioned above, the $620,000 Kentucky Futurity, $500,000 Yonkers Trot , $223,673 Empire Breeders Classic, $210,150 Matron Stakes, and a $181,000 division of the Stanley Dancer Memorial.
Bred by Brittany Farms, Six Pack is out of the stakes race winning Cantab Hall mare, Pleasing Lady.
It's been an incredible year for Muscle Mass with the stallion also represented by the world champion filly and recent millionaire, Plunge Blue Chip, as well as finishing 2018 as the second ranked sire of 3-year-old trotters in North America and the third leading sire of all-age trotters.
