New stakes winner for Vincent

Reinette became the latest juvenile stakes winner for Vincent when taking out the $50,000 Group 3 Champagne Classic for 2-year-old pacers at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

The promising filly proved too strong at the finish, coming off the back of the pacemaker and race favourite Captain Stirling rounding the home turn and besting the Captain Crunch colt in the straight to score by 3.1m.

It was Reinetteʻs third win from just six starts and took her earnings to $44,557.

She is out of the Somebeachsomewhere mare Aqueensomewhere.

From just three crops of racing age, Vincent has sired more than 20 stakes performers and is currently ranked in the top five Australian sires of 3-year-old pacers.
