First trial winner for Marcoola

Marcoola has sired his first trial winner, with the first of his debut crop offspring to make a public appearance, Senior Constable Liz, taking out the 2YO Trotters Trial at Rangiora yesterday.

The Bernard Lomas trained filly did everything right and showed a nice turn of foot in the closing stages to score by a half neck from the Mark and Nathan Purdon trained Lubyʻs Luck.

Bred as well as trained by Lomas, Senior Constable Liz is out of the Raffaello Ambrosio mare The Gardenerʻs Pride.

A three-time Group 1 winner, Marcoola is the richest and fastest entire son of the 16-time New Zealand Trotting Sire of the Year Sundon.
