First Southern Hemisphere winner for A Rocknroll Dance

A Rocknroll Dance has sired his first winner in the Southern Hemisphere, with Miss Streisand an impressive all-the-way winner of a $21,000 Young Guns Heat at Alexandra Park on Friday evening.
The Tony Herlihy trained 2-year-old led throughout in the 1700m juvenile feature and despite being headed in the back straight by eventual runner-up Anamajor, kicked clear in the home straight to score a convincing two and a quarter length win. (Watch replay)
She recorded a mile rate of 1:59.8, the last half in 56.6 and final 400m in 27.4.
A $25,000 purchase at the 2017 Australasian Classic Yearling Sale, Miss Streisand is a half-sister to last season's 2YO Pacing Filly of the Year and three time Group 1 winner Elle Mac.
