Father Patrick fillies quinella Peaceful Way elimination
The Linda Toscano trained Sisters Promise was an impressive winner of the second of the $30,000 Peaceful Way eliminations for 2YO Trotting Fillies at Woodbine Mohawk Park on September 8, turning the tables on her Champlain Stakes conqueror Susy.
The Father Patrick filly settled a little worse than mid-field before striding up to sit outside the pace-making Susy at the three-quarter pole. Rounding the final turn Sisters Promise was going the better and was able to draw away for a one and half length win over fellow Father Patrick filly Susy.
Her time of 1:55.8 for the mile was a career best to date.
Sisters Promise is the winner of two races from four lifetime starts with placings in the remaining two and stakes earnings of just over $42,000.
The Brittany Farms LLC owned filly is the first foal of a Donato Hanover grand-daughter of the great trotting broodmare Amour Angus - dam of Andover Hall, Angus Hall, Conway Hall and Emilie Cas El (dam of Trixton).
