Always B Miki's first crop weanlings were warmly received by buyers at last week's New Zealand Bloodstock All Age Auckland Sale with all five lots by the fastest pacer of all time selling, and a top price of almost four times his service fee.

The highest priced weanling for the multiple Breeders Crown winner was a colt (pictured) out of the nine win Art Major mare Cougar Bromac, with Emilio and Mary Rosati going to $26,000 to secure the athletic looking youngster.

Two other weanlings by Always B Miki also sold for more than $20,000 - with fillies out of half sisters to the Group 1 winners Hug The Wind and Thefixer selling for $24,000 and $22,000 respectively - both to the Queensland based Montana Park.

All three lots were consigned by Alabar (NZ) Ltd.

Impressively,  Always B Miki was the second leading sire by average price (three or more weanlings sold), with his five lots averaging $18,800, placing him behind only Art Major.
